Mirror on the Ceiling: 2017 Fiat 124 Spider

The 2017 Fiat spider (aka Fiata) is quite possibly the best roadster to hit the USA in the past decade. This 6-speed manual transmission equipped 124 spider in classico trim is just the right blend of spartan and feature-rich. The only downside to classico trim is lack of available heated seats. That's why the Lusso trim might be better for some coastal residents. However, the cloth seats are a welcome sight for those who like to go topless (when parked).

2017 VW Golf Alltrack TSI SEL 4Motion $34k First Drive

This is the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack (essentially a lifted Sportwagen with all-wheel-drive (4Motion). I took it around the block and it feels like a longer, lifted Golf. The long wheelbase really helps with rough roads. The 4Motion all wheel drive system makes the Alltrack feel more planted on the road than a GTI. DSG is standard, and so is the 1.8L TSI gas engine.

2016 GMC Acadia Denali

The GMC Acadia Denali has more interior space than the XC90. The Acadia also takes up less space in the garage than the Volvo. I reviewed the 2017 GMC Acadia Denali for a week and found something interesting: it's actually better than the Volvo XC90. Granted, the GMC isn't perfect, but it's 310hp V6 engine and smooth ride quality make it enjoyable to review.
